The Hurtta story began with a personal need and desire to protect our dogs from the cold and ever-changing, extreme conditions of the North. As Finns from "The wild North," a place known for its pure and exotic nature and unrelenting winters, we were determined to make functional products for our own dogs while also developing a range of functional dog gear globally.

Our expertise stems from our extensive apparel industry and design experience, as well as the bonds we have forged with other caring dog owners, dog trainers, and dog sport professionals worldwide. We're no strangers to the parks, trails, and training fields that dogs and their owners frequent every day.

The Hurtta Extreme Overall is designed for very cold conditions and for dogs that become cold easily. The overall insulates the dog's large muscle groups, as well as the abdominal region, chest, and legs. It features a foil liner, which reflects body heat back towards the body and activates the blood circulation, as well as a high-quality, soft, water, and wind-proof surface material.

The high snood/hood protects the dog from wind and snow, and can be cinched around the dog's ears for added protection from the elements. The overall is highly adjustable for dogs of various breeds, with a unique, adjustable chest circumference to maximize its fit and ensure freedom of movement.

3M reflectors on the front legs of the overall and large reflective prints improve the dog's safety in the dark. The overall also has an opening for a leash.
