The Hurtta story began with our personal need and desire to protect our dogs from the cold and ever-changing, extreme conditions of the North. We are from Finland, "The wild North," a place known for its pure and exotic nature and unrelenting winters. Originally, we were clothing industry professionals, and we were determined to make functional products for our own dogs while also developing a range of functional dog gear globally.

Our expertise stems from our extensive apparel industry and design experience and the bonds we have forged with other caring dog owners, dog trainers, and dog sport professionals worldwide. The Hurtta Half-Choke collar is intended for adult dogs. The collar is fast and easy to put on and is perfect for active dogs that are allowed to run free during training. Thanks to the safety lock mechanism on the clip buckle collar, stress caused by pulling is not placed on the buckle, making the collar safer to use. The half-choke collar is also well suited to daily walks when you may need to control the dog in emergencies. 3M reflectors help keep your dog visible at night.

The half-choke collar should be just the right size for the dog. The collar is the right size when it fits over the dog's head, but is firmly placed around the dog's neck when pulling on the leash.
