The Hurtta story began with our personal need and desire to protect our dogs from the cold and ever-changing, extreme conditions of the North, as we are from Finland, "The wild North," a place known for its pure and exotic nature and unrelenting winters. Originally, we were clothing industry professionals, and we were determined to make functional products for our own dogs while also developing a range of functional dog gear globally.

We're no strangers to the parks, trails, and training fields that dogs and their owners frequent every day. Our expertise stems from our extensive apparel industry and design experience and the bonds we have forged with other caring dog owners, dog trainers, and dog sport professionals worldwide. Our love for dogs and our 20-year history are evident in everything we do.

The Hurtta Monsoon Coat, Hurtta Downpour Suit, Hurtta Body Warmer Dog Bodysuit, Hurtta Expedition Parka, Hurtta Extreme Warmer 2, and Hurtta Extreme Overall are designed to protect your dog from the elements, with features such as adjustable back, waist, neckline, rain collar, and leg openings for a perfect fit and freedom of movement.

We understand that no two dogs are the same, which is why we encourage our customers to use the size chart and "Measuring Your Dog" size guide to ensure a proper fit. The Rain Blocker, for example, combines the protection of an overall and the ease of use of a coat, with the front legs minimizing the amount of dirt and water splashing on the front of your dog.

The materials used in our products are also designed with sustainability in mind, with the shell of the Rain Blocker made from 100% recycled waterproof and breathable polyester, using an average of 15 plastic bottles to make each coat. Additionally, all seams have been taped for waterproofness, and a rain trap has been added to the collar to stop water from getting inside the coat.
